Yes, the top health official in the United States decided to dunk himself and his grandchildren into a stream of human waste. To prove that germs aren't real? Because he's out of his goddamn mind? Who knows.

January 21st, 2025. Was NOT expecting this in my neck of the woods. I knew we'd get ice or snow, but usually it falls at night and is done by daylight, just waiting to melt. I've never seen it snowing in the daytime here before.

The quiet was the most astonishing thing. Me and my dogs were out so they could relieve themselves and they were so excited by the unusualness they were cool with doing a 2nd lap. My cat pitifully "meyowled' after us the first time and REALLY did when I came out again to get pics.

I had to adjust her shelter to put more blankets in a box on my porch (she has a protected eating space between my deep freezer and garden supply shelves with plywood leaning across the gap) She woke me up at 4am with a clatter out there and I figured she had to chase another cat off. Gave us time to bond and cuddle while I got a fresh towel to get the snow off her and warm her up.

This is so wrong. I can't remember ever seeing this type of overnight temperature rise, for sure not in late October in #Wisconsin.
