An installation in Olhao 2019

An installation in a pedestrian zone in Olhao in the Algarve, Portugal. It's a large weighing scale with all sorts of discarded items weighing down one side and a stylized terrestrial globe sculpture on the other. Panels on the installation's sides highlight issues around resource consumption and planetary sustainability; the two panels visible in the photo highlight water consumption for agriculture and food miles.

Taken with my first ever digital camera (a whopping 480x640 pixels ) at the Year 2000 St. Patrick's Day parade in my village.

Two little kids, a girl and a boy, on a St. Patrick's Day float. The girl is wearing an Aran jumper and is just adjusting her bonnet. A big green clover-shape sign beside her says "Kiss me. I'm Irish". In the background is a traditional shop front of a Ladies and Gents Outfitters.

Boat on the Burren coast

A small red and green angling boat is anchored at low tide on the Muckinish peninsula at Galway Bay in the Burren, County Clare, Ireland. The inlet is a well known spot for shore and sea angling. One of the Burren's stark gray karst limestone hills is seen in the background, with small green enclosed fields and two white houses filling the mid-ground.

A multilevel urban yard and cobblestone alleys in Alfama. The old residential buildings are painted white, pastel yellow and pink. One wall is half-covered with azulejos tiles.
